The wonder boy!

27/11/18 This incident happened few months back. There was a fair, cute and a neatly groomed boy in my class. Initially the boy was as quiet as a clam sea but as the time went by, he developed better competency in both english and dzongkha which ignited his talkativeness. He even displayed interest in coming near to my table and communicating with me about anything , almost daily. One day, the boy came to me and whispered in my ears , ' mam, can i tell u one thing? ' to which i agreed. With a slight smile on his lips, he told me something which took my breath away for  few seconds. He said, ' mam, yesterday my Apa(father) beat my Ama(mother) with my guitar and the guitar broke.' Upon hearing this, i couldn't believe my ears at first and to confirm what i heard was correct, i asked him in a loud voice(may be i was bit shocked), 'what ? why? what did u do? how did u feel? were u scared? did u cry? or did your ama cry? ...and when i realized, i already had ...

Here is another most beautiful piece of god's creation. When ever i come across such wonderful things, I can't stop myself from taking out my camera and taking its picture because i know there are lots of people who would at least smile to see such a beauty of nature. I think i am falling in love with mother nature now because i recently started to feel that even the smallest part of nature like a shrub along the path also bears its own subtle beautiful aspect. nature really is a beautiful thing if we see and feel from the heart. This flower isn't grown in well cared flower garden nor in a expensive flower pot but it naturally grew on the way, may be god knew its right place.

I saw this beautiful  flower on my way back to my place. I captured it's beauty, thinking that as much as I enjoyed it's beauty, you all will also have some pleasure upon seeing this picure in my blog.  As there is a saying, I quote " Beauty is to see not to touch ",I unquote. I just had fun by seeing it's beauty from every direction but I didn't dare to even touch it's leaves because I hate when I, in any ways harm such beautiful thing. So, I hope this flower would bring some smile on your lips.

Nature smiles.

Teachers Need to Go through This post At least once!

AS A TEACHER, WHAT ARE THE THINGS WE MUSTNOT DO? (Resource: Ms. Caroline and Mrs. Karma Gayphel, Lecture from SCE, Samtse.) It’s all what I gained from the short Professional development program I attended recently. It was based on “POSITIVE DISCIPLINE IN THE CLASSROOM”. We should not opt for punishment if our students tend to do things which we don’t want them to do because punishment is not only physical as we see, it is also an emotional punishment as punishing a particular student will affect that child emotionally which we haven’t thought till date. Some of the emotional punishments can be shouting at the child, yelling, ignoring, insulting, name calling, putting down(you don’t know anything, useless…)…and many more which will lower the self- esteem of the child. Doing such thing in class will definitely hamper the child emotionally leading in ineffective teaching learning.  If we are using punishment as the means of improving our students, we are walking on the thorny...
